Save the date!! 2-12 septembre To the European Faire 2016 once again: ‘burrow encounters!

Once again this year, the LIFE Alister project will be hosted by the Alsace Chamber of Agriculture on the agricultural stand of the European Fair. A great occasion to meet the public and talk about the LIFE project and the European Hamster!

This year, in addition to events to promote knowledge about the European Hamster organised by GEPMA [Alsace mammal protection study group] (board games, video game and coloured drawings), LIFE’s partners will come to speak about the various actions during informal gatherings on the stand’s terrace: ‘Burrow Encounters’.

• Friday 2 September at 5pm: a year in the life of the European Hamster (hibernation, food, reproduction-development of the young and hazards) – CNRS [French national scientific research centre]
• Wednesday 7 September: Family Day
• 2.30pm: learning about the European Hamster through play (board game and video game) – GEPMA
• 4pm: a year in the life of the European Hamster (hibernation, food, reproduction-development of the young and hazards) – CNRS
• Thursday 8 September: Afterwork 6pm: What is innovative agriculture and its role in protecting the European Hamster? (event organised by the Chamber of Agriculture, open to everyone but more specifically for farmers)
• Saturday 10 September 2.30pm and 4.30pm: a year in the life of the European Hamster (hibernation, food, reproduction-development of the young and hazards) – CNRS
